About Me
about
At heart, I am a creator—of stories, visual art, photography, learning formats, transformative journeys and businesses.
My dream is to help people grow, heal and transform using integrative psychotherapy, systemic work and creative imagination.

Experience
Starting my career at THNK School of Leadership, I spent the past 12 years developing leadership programs, retreats and change trajectories. 5 years ago, I co-founded Upshot Impact, through which our team supported +400 tech leaders, entrepreneurs and investors across the EU to drive leadership transformation, build thriving MT dynamics and engineer healthy organisational cultures.
Over the past decade, I’ve immersed myself in Jungian analysis, individuation and mythology—anything written by Marion Woodman, James Hollis, Peter Kingsley and Carl G. Jung.
This led to me training to become an Integrative Psychotherapist (EAP accredited) at the Educatieve Academie in Antwerp which takes an experiential and client-centred approach to psychotherapy. Next to individual guidance and trauma work, I guide couples, parents and families at Praktijk de Liefde as a relationship therapist.
Creative work
My art explores love, longing, womanhood and the pursuit of inner truth. I recently completed Sophia’s Tears, a collection of 28 poems about reclaiming one’s voice and body.
I’m currently finishing my first novel, Het leven is geen ponykamp, a coming-of-age story about Gaia, a teenage girl whose mother disappears in Colombia, and the aftermath of this loss on their family.
I was born in Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1991. After years of globetrotting, I happily call Amsterdam home.
Poem of the week
Every Sunday morning, I send a poem and matching painting to friends and family. If you’d like to receive these, you can subscribe to Sophia’s Whispers via the button on the right.
