At heart, I am a creator—of stories, visual art, photography, learning formats, transformative journeys and businesses.
My dream is to help people grow, heal and transform using integrative psychotherapy, systemic work and creative imagination.
Experience
Starting my career at THNK School of Leadership, I spent the past 11 years developing leadership programs and cultural change journeys. 5 years ago, I co-founded Upshot Impact, through which our team supported +400 tech leaders, entrepreneurs and investors across the EU to drive leadership transformation, create thriving MT dynamics and build high-performance cultures.
Over the past years, I’ve immersed myself in Jungian analysis, individuation and mythology (i.e., anything written by Marion Woodman, Marie-Louise von Franz, Peter Kingsley and Carl G. Jung).
This led to me training to become anIntegrative Psychotherapist (EAP accredited) at the Educatieve Academie (in collaboration with VIVES Hogeschool) in Antwerp, Belgium (2023-2027), which takes an experiential and client-focused approach to psychotherapy.
Creative work
My art explores love, womanhood and the pursuit of inner truth. I recently completed Sophia’s Tears, a collection of 28 poems about reclaiming one’s voice and body.
I’m currently finishing my first novel, Het leven is geen ponykamp, a coming-of-age story about Gaia, a teenage girl whose mother disappears in Colombia, and the aftermath of this loss on their family.
I was born in Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1991. After years of globetrotting, I happily call Amsterdam home.
Every Sunday morning, I send a poem and matching painting to friends and family. If you’d like to receive these, you can subscribe to Sophia’s Whispers via the button on the right.
